Friends

There are times when I wish I could tell everyone who has ever had any impact on my life, even if it's just as small as saying hello with a smile, how much they mean to me. I have some good friends, people who have always been good to me and to all of them I send good thoughts. You are all worth more than any words can say.

Weird Dreams

I don't remember many of my dreams, though I do remember a vivid one from when I was a child which featured plants trying to take over the world, and odd policewoman with hats that had eyes in them, it scared the crap out of me. I didn't want to sleep for a week.

Last night I had a dream that Jessica Alba, world famous movie star, came into my store to have an ID photo taken, and then ended up staying at my house, she was smoking, clearly drunk and shouting abusive comments at my neighbours. Apparently dreams have meanings, so I have to wonder ... what the hell is the meaning in this one?

If anyone can figure it out please tell me.

New Projects

With my first book/short story about to be published, and I've seen the cover art, its quite nice, if it gets listed on Amazon I shall be sure to tell everyone where to order it, now I find myself starting my second, and actually having lots of good ideas.

On top of that I've started a new blog, related to gaming, with just a few of my thoughts now and then, check it out here if you like games, even if you don't have a look.

Excerpts from Michaels Diary

Well it's almost complete. My first book is soon to be published, admittedly it will only be to order from places like Amazon but I will be ordering a copy to see my story in print. While the story stands on its own I'd love to revisit it sometime but for now I'm slowly working on my second book. This one will take a lot longer I suspect, but it will be worth it.

Internet Chat

I've been a big fan of internet chat for a long time now, it's where I've met some of the nicest people online. People can meet and discuss topics of all sorts and meet new and interesting people, otherwise never get a chance to converse with.

If you feel like broadening your horizons I can wholeheartedly recommend Noesis chat, give it a try.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope 2010 is a good one for us all.

I have to admit I've been thinking a bit this Christmas, I kept hearing people say they didn't feel 'christmasy' and I kinda know what they mean, it has felt different this year. The whole Christmas thing has actually felt a lot less commercialised than it has in a long time. Perhaps people haven't felt 'christmasy' because we are so used to taking our cues from the media and the retailers and when they stop telling us what to do we become lost and confused.

Or maybe I'm just a cynic.

Words That Move Me

One of my favourite anime series of all time has to be Cowboy Bebop, if you haven't seen it you should, it must be over 10 years old and still holds up as one of the finest examples of the anime genre, great characters, stories, plot, it has everything. It's that highly regarded a live action movie is in production starring Keanu Reeves as the main character Spike Spiegel.

Every now and then you hear a story that sticks with you, and this one from the final episode stuck with me.

There once was a tiger striped cat. This cat died a million deaths, revived and lived a million lives, and he was owned by various people who he didn't really care for. The cat wasn't afraid to die. One day the cat became a stray cat, which meant he was free. He met a white female cat, and the two of them spent their days together happily. Well, years passed, and the white cat grew weak and died of old age. The tiger striped cat cried a million times, and then died too. Except this time, he didn't come back to life.

I guess I'm just an old romantic at heart.
